Fairford Royal International Air Tattoo Airshow

The Royal International Air Tattoo is returning for 2022 after a three-year break due to covid. This year is expected to be the best ever, with planes from all over the world, stretched across different eras of flight.

The airshow takes place between 15th and 17th July at RAF Fairford with 170,000 excited visitors expected and the Cotswolds will once again throng with the unique sounds of amazing aircraft. This is also a special year as the United States Air Force celebrates their 75th Anniversary.

Techno Zone® and STEM

The Royal International Air Tattoo also provides a showcase for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, with interactive exhibits to inspire the next generation of engineers, alongside some of the world’s biggest and best innovators.

RAF Experience

The RAF Experience provides a unique opportunity for you to meet over 200 RAF personnel. They are all keen to share with you their day-to-day roles and experiences of the RAF. Here you can discover the career and sporting opportunities that the RAF provides.

Fairford Eye

Visitors can see the Royal International Air Tattoo from a different vantage point this year as a giant observation wheel is located behind the Techno Zone® on the showground, open all day from 7.30am, the same time the showground opens.
Standing 35 metres tall, the Fairford Eye allows visitors to see spectacular views of the Air Tattoo and surrounding countryside, every day during the show. Capture photos from this unique vantage point, offering great top-down views of the showground and static aircraft.
The George at Kempsford is only two miles from the Airshow and will be open all day and providing refreshments including drinks, ice lollies, food and entertainment
